    w32tm won't sync / stratum 1

We're been struggling with an old 2008 server. The time won't sync. Set peerlist to time.windows.com (or any other NTP server) and /stripchart shows the offset apparently correctly. For some reason, setting /peerlist doesn't seem to "stick". /query /status always shows local time source (Stratum...

Best way to ring multiple stations in SV8300

I actually have a group ringing, but I'm not entirely sure if I'm understanding the manual. In CM11, I set up virtual x1990. In CM 13 Y=45, I allowed "Call By Pilot Number Dialing Station" In CM12 I assigned group 00 to 1990. At this point, the manual points me to CM18 -- but it's unclear...

Best way to ring multiple stations in SV8300

Great! That's the hint I need -- I've got the manuals. If I run in trouble, I'll be back to ask questions. [bigsmile] Thanks!

    NEC SV8100/8300 Night Service (Voicemail)

So your 22-10 looks something like this???? And your 22-13 looks something like this??? Next questions: What kind of voicemail are you using? It could be an Inmail or UM or something else? Do you currently use a "night mode" for anything?

Best way to ring multiple stations in SV8300

What is the best way to ring multiple stations in SV8300? We've got PRI with DIDs and I'd like to ring several stations simultaneously (and then even more on delay). I could assign a virtual extension, I guess, but is there a better way? If I assign a virtual extension, is it possible to "hide"...

Guide to Creating Scripts for SV8300?

OzzieGeorge! This was perfect... I've been able to script function keys, call forward busy, DIDs, etc. Thank you so much for your help. NEC needs to document this better (for SV8300). I'm considering going back to read some of the older docs on NEAX, etc. I have another question, but will ask...

    NEC SV8100/8300 Night Service (Voicemail)

Definitely! Though, as a tech who just recently started working with SV8300, that's a great tip! I may soon have more questions about that -- I'll start a different thread. ;-)

Avaya ACS 7.0 w/ Partner Messaging cordless phone-screech when paging

You've done all of the things listed above and it still screeches? Have you tried it with your test set or a "regular" analog phone (from the auxiliary port)? Does the cordless phone have a "mute" button? If so, can you initiate a page, mute the phone, and then hang up? Does it screech?

    NEC SV8100/8300 Night Service (Voicemail)

Hey there Kryptor.. Assuming you have PRI.. Have a look in program 22-10 -- what do you see there? Have a look in program 22-13 -- what do you see there? I'm not really sure the best way for you to reply to those questions :-) There is your starting point, however. After that, depending on...

Guide to Creating Scripts for SV8300?

I'm a freshly minted and certified SV8300 tech (been in telecom for 12 years, NEC for about 6, never IPK/NEAX/etc). I'd ask the nice folks at NTAC, but I don't want to look *too* stupid. Is there a guide (even on NTAC website) for creating SV8300 scripts? I've skimmed through the manuals and...

hunt group login and call fwd

Virtual extension member of a hunt group won't forward off-site. A mobile extension, will, however. Have you thought of that? Also, if it's a hunt group, you can set it up so when all members log out, it goes to your virtual (which will handle the forward), or RNA to your virtual and it will...

    Network SV8100 and AltiGen?

I have a customer who's considering integrating their two PBXs -- an NEC SV8100 and an AltiGen. Both are fairly new. Is it possible, using H.323 trunk (or less likely SIP) to network the two PBXs together? No need to network voicemails, etc, just site to site trunking, and the ability to...
