Let me be more precise. Power goes out on a dialup server server in the middle of the night, UPS holds for 40 minutes. After 40 the box dies. 2 hours later power is restored but it is still middle of the night, and all we need is for the box to boot by itself.
So I guess I mean totally...
Looks like your CPU is bad...
Put ram back and try it without VGA. If you get "no VGA" beeps then I would say it's CPU.

Note that it is actually your computer that is freezing, not your keyboard and mouse; the computer is not responding to inputs from those devices.
You need to determine whether this is a hardware or software a software issue. One way is to boot in safe mode and check whether or not it still...
Problem identification is going to be difficult without a debug card. But try the following:
1. Remove all PCI cards as well as AGP
2. Discount all drives; power and data
3. Remove memory
4. Switch on and listen for POST beeps from the system speaker. Long beeps means the board has detected no...
If your problem is simply implementing the barcode functionality into existing procedures, then you need merely to add the field to the dictionary / data file and update all modules and procedures as normal.
Whether the barcode input is by means of keyboard or scanner is irrelevent; it is...

In dual configuration, I've yet to see a...
I think this thread has establsihed two things:
1. Techbrain is fully of the smelly stuff.
2. He himself has no clue as to what caused the problem.
What bothers me also is first the system reports no HD present (this could even be a flat or dislodged CMOS battery), later we hear of bad sectors...
If none of the above work, try to get your hands on a debug card that fits into the PCI slot (they are relatively inexpensive). The card will display the P.O.S.T. codes as they are checked. The last code displayed will give you some indication of where the problem is, by referring to the BIOS...
The print jobs piling up is a usual but abnormal occurence in Windows, not just 98SE.
I'm not convinced that IP connection was lost. What printer is used, is it attached to a print server or station or is it stand alone? What are your spool settings and are you using EMF or RAW?
