dseaver, Thank you. That was it. I use SolidWorks which does not play nice with Hyperthreading, so it has always been disabled on my machine. On the other machines (without SW) I had never noticed the Task Managers split view before. Something either changed the View setting or I just suddenly...

Four computers here have decided their 4+ years old P4 CPUs are now dual core. The Task Manager performance section shows very similar, but different activity on both panels. The View > CPU History options are for One graph, All CPUs or One graph, per CPU. Can anyone explain this phenomenon...
