Display last saved date in cell in Excel

cLFlaVA, thanks! I was using only the preconfigured autotext fields and after spending lots of time searching through Excel I guess I got confused and thought I'd tried the lists in both.

Display last saved date in cell in Excel

I know this is somewhat off topic as the title of this thread is regarding Excel, but can I get advice on how to accomplish the same thing in a Word document? I guess this would be different as Word has one header section so I'd have to delete the previous date before entering the new. BTW, I...

Display last saved date in cell in Excel

Dale, this is a great tip but as far as date range, I'd like to enter the 'last saved' date in the upper right section of the header. Is it possible to refer to this as a variable rather than a range?

error when using UNC to link tables

I have a FE that I linked to a BE using a relative path. Some of the people now need to use it who are mapped differently. I seem to remember using the UNC to do this once in the past, but when I tried to change: S:\Projects\DbBE.mdb to \\Chsisf02\VOL1\Shared\Projects\DbBE.mbd I get this...

Resource Allocation, can I do it by groups??

If I understand the question, it may also be helpful to assign a percentage tot he resource. Such as, if you have 5 welders but only want to assign one person, you can assign the group at 20%.

    exporting to ms access

I haven't tried this in a long time, but I think I remeber that if you set up a template database with all the tables linked you can copy over the individual tables without losing the relationship.

    Wrap text in Project 2000

Hi Sesames, next time please begin by looking up the keywords in 'Help', or notig that you treid that without success. Here's what I found on when I keyed in 'word wrap': =========== "Increase the height of rows and wrap text in them If you have text in multiple fields that is too long to...

    PMP Braindumps

I've only heard of the term 'braindump' as a site where people report actual exam material. If this is what you mean, you may not be aware that the PMP professional code of conduct specifically prohibits this. If you contribute to a site such as this you would be stripped of your certification...

    OPEIU Union for IT Folks?

Good third article, thanks Jeff svolpe, a lot of people give lip-service to that myth, that if you are good at what you do, or work hard, you will be rewarded by the gods. But it's just a belief that is fostered in the workplace to shift blame to the victims, and protect management's image. If...

    Controlling Spending

monkeylizard, sorry if I offended and I don't mean to be 'against' you. We all need to respect each others' boundaries, and focus on our own responsibilities, rather than second-guessing each others' decisions. I'm sure you do care about your company but it's not a reason to try to take control...

    OPEIU Union for IT Folks?

Thanks, Jeff, for mentioning the excellent articles. Although I don't understand why so many people see unpaid overtime as justifiable. Guess it's just that fear and workaholism run rampant in this field. And either nobody reads classics like Peopleware, or they just can't bring themselves to...
