I have a 2 cabinet Magix 4.71 with MM 4.0 and a PRI ckt. The problem I'm having is the music on hold sounds distorted. I have changed the line port, installed RDL TX-1W MOH Amp between the Radio and the Magix...the music into the line port sounds perfect. I am using the 600 OHM balanced MOH...

    Messaging back & restore options

Thanks for all the input. I do know that if I connected to the MM thru the Ethernet port and using the Admin software, I can do a complete backup...but you have to be on the premise and do the backup while the system is quiet.... I just though that the PCMIA backup was more complete.

Is there any documentation to be found about how the backup and or restore option in a MM R4.0 function. Apparently you can save the data to the PCMIA card, but when you restore translations from this card... it does not retain the Station prompts or saved messages... Inquiring minds want to...

    MM 4 RMD

I didn't think of the alarm connected to the Fios lines.... good point...I will be at on-site next week...I start testing to see if that is the problem. Touch Tone Tommy....I never gave it any thought as to the difference between a fax & modem tone...I'm sure there is a difference. So what is...

    MM 4 RMD

I thought so too, but I called both the clients fax machines and they rang 4 times before answering. When I do get the modem/fax tone thru the AA...it answers immediately. When I do get onsite..I can call Verizon Fios and have them check the hunt group... I can check to see if any one of the...

    MM 4 RMD

Next time I'm on site, I going to check the hunt group of the Fios dial tones....... This issue is one of two possible problems. 1. Fios hunt gp overflowing to fax line. 2. 8 port card defective. Thanks for the input.

    MM 4 RMD

Another thought to all this is that I could have a defective 8 port card...I do have spare cards, so I can prove it the card or not. I just don't know what else it could be.

    MM 4 RMD

TTT..I did check that VM hunt group and its programmed Linear...also the members...only the 8 ports were there. I also made sure that the 8 ports used were rotary enabled...I checked every perimeter I could think of for anything connected to sta 61 RMD. I am at a loss...I must say this is not a...
