Thank, Tony. I'm not sure what's happening. If I spell check the same document on a different machine, there's no problem. Believe me when I say that I've checked every possible answer.
I appreciate your time.

Thanks, Randy. I found the set language on the tab when I pressed ALT+r+u.
Word 2003 stopped spell checking so I installed 2007 on the machine. It doesn't spell check.
Here are a couple of things I tried that didn't work:

I can't spell check a document in Word 2007 (brand new installation). There is no SET LANGUAGE in the review ribbon.
I've searched this on the 'net and it seems to be a common problem, but so far no one's had a good solution.
Let me know if you need further info. Thank you for your time...
Thanks, Linney.
None of this worked.
From what I'm reading on various forums, this is a problem that Microsoft hasn't figured out how to solve yet.

Full disclosure: I have no idea who runs the above website.
Anyway, what this post shows is what I tried. Believe me, I've checked every menu and clicked everything that would allow...
I've looked in several other forums and I'm beginning to think that there's no solution for this.
On the start menu, I have Word 2007. It was keeping track of my recent items (i.e., when I clicked on the right side of the Word icon, recent items would come up). I started and completed several...
I want to put the name of a business in an online ad. The name of the business is similar to A & B Widgets. The online ad won't show the ampersand by itself. I tried two of them. When I did that then && shows up in the ad.

I've probably not...

Here's exactly what he did. He took the laptop from the box, fired it up and set up a network using the PIN from my router.

I then want to hit enter and go to the next paragraph of the new scene.
The kicker is that...

I am trying to install Avira Anti-Virus on my laptop and I get the error message: "Setup requires the windows installer service in order to perform installation."
There is no other AV software on the machine.
How do I cure this?
If you need further info, please let me know.
Thanks!
