FYI you don´t need WinFIOL or FIOL to access the system, any terminal emulator like Hyperterminal or PUTTY works.

I think i´ve seen that feature on Ericsson MD110/MX-ONE PBXs, that is carrier dependent. I know for a fact that it is/was available on Spain by Telefonica, also in LatAm by Movistar/Telefonica. UK was also a market for this feature but i don´t know which carrier, if any, offered it.

As you said, it's been a long time. As I remember you had to upload a modified version of the NIU R6A firmware to trick the board into thinking it was a NIU (SCSI version) and then you used the same commands as in the regular NIU. Then you needed to upgrade NIU2 to its regular firmware.

Either LSU or LPU5 need to be replaced in LIM 2. Try first with LSU.

There is a Service Parameter in CUCM "Display Original Calling Number on Transfer from Cisco Unity:" you should set it to False and see if you get the behavior you want. Be careful it may break some other stuff.

Yes, you can have both ports on different vlans, but the configuration is done on the switch. Voice vlan is tagged and data port untagged, then on the phone you set the vlan setting to the tagged vlan and its done.

Have you run a Diald Number Analyzer test? That should give you a good idea of what is going on.

I´v seen that issue related to Norton Anti-Virus, but i think it could also be caused by any other AV suite or as NECPBX says a Firewall.

Did you obtain any certification with that exam? (CCNA Voice or CCNA Collab) The 3 year rule is for completed certifications, if you only approved that exam and did not get any related cert it expires after a certain time (Exam lifecycle). It happened to a friend of mine who was one exam short...

We´ve used Epygi Quadro E1/T1 gateways, and they work great with VCX. Don´t know how much cheaper they are compared to Audiocodes gateway in your area.

As for online resources i would recommend Jeremy Cioara CBT videos. Another option would be to take the CCENT exam wich is the basics for CCNA and is half the price of it, that way you get used to the way the exam is and if you pass it it would boost your confidence towards the other half of...

There´s no problem in using both boards on the same mag, we have several combinations of them (ELU34+RG5,PU4,PU5 in Stack and /50) and it hasn´t caused problems.
