Explore the CD and find the install Icon, right click on it and select XP mode, or if listed Viritual XP mode. Then left click to install and it should install from the CD. Even in virtual xp mode windows 7 may try to install in 7 mode unless you override it.
You will have to install/run the winspm under the Virtual XP mode in Windows 7, that is the only way it will work.
The W7 will not allow most older software programs to install and run, unless you install the virtual mode. That way you have to buy all of your favorite programs in the latest...
ttech,
I was going to stare at some other Legend/Magix's not a Definity, and a Definity using 5E Custom will pass-thru the Caller-ID to a forwarded call because it is part of the setup messaging. But that Pass-thru is sometimes dependent on what type of CO switch you are dealing with. As I said...
I have a customer in another state that call-fwd's certain phones off-site to cell phones for customer service over a PRI (in and out)at Night. They receive the calls, but the Caller-ID shows up as the customers main number (BTN), not the Callers number which they want to receive.
The carrier...
If ext to ext is working, and you have an analog ext available (ie: a fax/modem) you could connect by dialing *10 locally with SPM and connect just as if you were calling from outside and transfering.
FYI
The button mapping is 1,2,3,4, on the system.
SA Ring (1)
SA Voice (2)
SA 00 (3)
Blank (4)
In this case I removed the SA 00 and installed SSA buttons of the users phone on the 3810 for portable use. I think that this will be a better solution than replacing his partner phone since the 3810...
Thanks CarGoSki, I have that Doc, I spent about 3 hours on the avaya site and the net last night searching, but still nothing on the mapping. Most everything that I found relates to the IP Office. I don't know if the button mapping for that is the same or not.
Strange, I posted a reply last night and it disappeared?
Anyway, I was told that the remote access wasn't working on this system, but I am going to try it if necessary. The phone was unfortunately shipped directly already.
I have tried monitor a couple of times, but I do not know enough about...
Thanks 3T
The issue I have is the phone is in Wyoming and I am in Texas, trying to support a non-avaya vendor for a company we support. Most of the phones there are Partner on a Magix upgrade and the current user wants a cordless to replace his Partner phone. Sooo I have to have the vendor...
Does anyone have the button mapping for the 4 programmable buttons on a 3810? No Avaya documentation appears available. The buttons listed on the phone are 6/7 & 16/17.
From an old Post regarding DMS switches, and yes a DMS 500 supports all, or most all protocols, like the 250
1 U459PRI - 5ESS custom protocol. This will work for a basic PRI interface, but does not have the fancy features a 5ESS central office has for the 5ESS custom.
2 N449PRI - System 85...
On T-1 DID's the provisioning is wink start which is basic E&M since DID's are one-way inbound only. The wink is the T-1 equivalent of the ground start.
Copper based DID's are always Ground Start, that is your signaling that a call is being presented.
Reading the error code a little more closely, makes me think the issue is with the spm admin program which appears to be installed in the Audix box.
I looked at the maint/error codes in the maintenance book and found nothing related to the code listed, but the tty00 2400 part made a little light...
You may have a software corruption, but if the system is still operational and responding to calls, try a soft shutdown from the main menu. Then shut the system off, remove the power cord for 30-45 seconds, plug the power back in and restart the system.
Certain Loads, if no patches have been...
Custom 5ESS is NOT the same as NI1, if you provision the circuit as NI1 you will have issues, If you are being served out of a Nortel DMS series CO switch the protocol required is U459 with the L1 flag set to Yes, which is the Nortel equivalent of 5ESS Custom.
There is a difference in the...
