If you are using Backup Exec 9 (Windows version), that uses SQL for it's database. IF there is an instance of SQL on the machine it is installed on, then it will use that, otherwise it will install the Desktop Edition of SQL. The database name is the same as the NSE database, I can only assume...

Do bare in mind that Windows Server 2003 is not yet available, so unless you have 'contacts', you will be running a beta or customer preview program copy. As this is all considered beta code, there is no guarentee that DX9a, or any other media based program will work. Do bare in mind as well...

Unless you are one of Microsofts premier partners or an OEM, you will not be able to get the full server 2003 code until the April 24th release, although you can place advanced orders, some of which may ship slightly earlier. These orders would have to be placed with Microsoft themselves.

If you are on the CPP program, select the support menu, then newsgroups. At the bottom of the newsgroup list there is the password for the 2003 newsgroups. As for them being made puplic, no news as yet.

I don't know if you have solved your problem or not, but there are usilities to view NTFS partitions from DOS, some commercial ones can also write to these partitions as well. Try a search on google for NTFS2DOS, the company that does this used to offer a free download to view NTFS from boot...

Over at the Windows Server 2003 CPP newsgroup, a microsoft representative said it should be possible, but if anything went wrong you would be on your own. As always with these things, a fresh install is recommended when moving from a beta to a full product.

only thing I can think of now is to call a script from the schedule to open the command prompt and 'type' the command in as if you were typing it yourself. That should work, although I have not had time to try this myself, and I'll be aay from the computer for a while. May be worth a try though.
