How stupid of me! I am looking for a table of cursors for Office version 2002/XP. I would imagine that they would be pretty much the same for Office 2003.
I am working on a presentation designed to show new users how to get started with Microsoft Word. I would like to demonstrate and document the various cursors (Microsoft calls these "mouse pointers") which appear during the course of using this product. For example, the white arrowheads and...
Thank you both. linney - What I need are the cursors specific to Office (Word in particular) and not the cursors for Windows. I will give the Office Forum a try. vacunita - unfortunately, the Windows 97 info didn't seem to have a modern analog for Windows XP.
I am working on a presentation designed to show new users how to get started with Microsoft Word. I would like to make up a table of the various cursors which appear during the course of using this product. For example, the white arrowheads and I-beam cursors in standard text-insertion mode, and...
I re-installed the software, but that made no difference. Just for grins, I looked in the SETUP portion of the software and unchecked the box that said "Use Hardware Color Acceleration". Now the application works without the distortion that I had originally seen. Thank you for your suggestions.
I just re-read the previous posts and I see that Nelviticus suggested that I re-install the DVD player software. Since I have not yet done this, it will go on my list of things to try. Thank you.
Thanks for all of your suggestions. This is actually the third identical Sony drive (CRX320E/10)I have purchased and the others have worked fine installed on XP Pro. I did not have to seek out drivers. In fact trying to find a driver is no easy task, but XP Pro has the built-in driver for this...
I recently installed a Sony DVD/CD-RW combo drive on a Compaq Deskpro EN. The computer has a PIII/866, maximum RAM (512 MB), a floppy drive, and an internal Iomega ZIP 250 drive. The video card is an NVIDIA GeForce2 MX 100/200 AGP, and there is a new 6-port USB 2.0 PCI card. The operating system...
I had no luck with safe mode or scannow. I ended up re-installing XP, which solved the problem. I am assuming that something was left behind when I disconnected the old monitor and this is what caused the nagging error message. With the fresh install, the new monitor was recognized and there...
Thanks Linney. I looked in:
Control Panel -> Display -> Settings -> Advanced -> Monitor
but there was nothing to be found regarding detection of plug and play monitors. I have done a virus scan and a Spybot spyware scan and the computer comes up clean. I will have a look at some of the other...
Greetings. My daughter's computer is a Compaq 5330US with a P4, plenty of memory, XP Pro SP2 and all updates installed. Her original Compaq monitor was starting to experience symptoms of old age, so I installed a used Dell M781s monitor. The picture quality is superb. The only problem is an...

Thanks Ed. The connector does have 20 pins. Are you saying that I can short one of the seven black wires to the green wire to turn on the supply? Thanks for your quick reply.
I have had a similar problem before with Roxio. As it turned out, I was using an older version that I had bought when I was still using Windows 98SE. When I upgraded my OS to WinXP and re-installed Roxio, it did not recognize the burner. I ended up having to install some updates from Roxio in...
