Issues Between Cisco Network & NVT Phybridge POLRE 8 Port Extender

You have a look for the multicast IP addresses that your switches can see and then google them - they are unique to their vendor.

Anyone know a good place to get trained on Mitel 3300

When you log in to the Controller GUI, the in-line Help contains virtually everything you need to know to learn how to apply your MACs.

Mitel 3300 Ring Group to overflow to Nupoint voicemail box?

Either the NuPoint mailbox needs to be the same number as the original number dialled, or you add in the original number dialled as an "alternate extension" to the NuPoint mailbox, or you overflow instead to a Nametag type Hunt Group which goes to NuPoint - the Nametag Hunt Group will re-write...

Mitel 5320 Phones not getting DHCP

PCs in VLAN2 do not need IP Helper pointing at servers in the same VLAN2 - those servers, being in the same broadcast segment as the PCs, will see the PC's broadcasted DHCP request - the IP helper does not need to forward the broadcast within the same segment that the broadcast is sent.

    Micollab error

Check your "User and Device Attributes" Form on the controller and identify one Device ID from the "failed" list, and one that isn't on the "failed" list. Then export your "User and Services Configuration" form, filter it down to just those two devices and compare them cell by cell to see what...

Probably rehashing and old question but...

Log it with Mitel. Is it sending current backups anywhere?

    MiCC 8.1

    2. Yes, in your CallFlow use an "ANI" to check caller ID. 1. Does "special numbers" mean calling, or called number? If it's the called number then you use DNIS. Either ANI or DNIS can use a wildcard condition, eg, "05??????????" This is pretty much the easiest stuff to configure in MiCC -...

Mitel 5320 Phones not getting DHCP

Craig222 (Systems Engineer)(OP)8 Dec 17 08:58 Hi sarond, it seems like this phone is hitting a different dhcp server that one that works (we have 3 DHCP servers). How do I direct the non working phones to the right server? That would seem to be the problem then, what DHCP server are they going...

    MiCollab - AD integration

When you setup the LDAP query in the MiCollab, you can assign AD attributes for phone, second phone, mobile and DID. (Among other things). The thing you call "CLIP" is I think what Mitel calls CPN - pretty sure you can't upload that from AD, but after you provision all the users, you can upload...

Mitel 5320 Phones not getting DHCP

Do you see in the VLAN10 DHCP scope a lease appearing when the server makes the offer? Does your switch use LLDP to tell the phone about VLAN10? Have you tried adding the new phone to a switchport that has an old (working) phone in it? What DHCP option are you using for the phones to give them...

Mitel 3300 Rel 8.0 hard drive replacement

Could be a good time to go virtual instead. Waaay more fun than trying to deal with those hardware 3300s.

    Firmware push

HP sell a monitoring tool called IMC that makes it easier.

Mitel IP phone screens blank with backlight on

Does it affect phones on *all* those switches, or just some of them?

    MiCollab - AD integration

I don't think admin users can be AD accounts, they are local. The controllers do not use AD, they have their own phonebook. Same with MiCollab. Where you use AD is in provisioning users out of AD onto MiCollab, which creates the directory for the phone system. You should use email address as well.
