I would like to implement a stronger password policy for our network. We require a password that is 6 characters long, changed every 90 days, and keep 32 password histories.
Unfortunately, the Microsoft Strong Password Policy does a number of things, most that we like, but the part that sets a...
I have a user who took a laptop from our Domain and switched it to a workgroup. They do not know any of the local passwords and now can't access the machine. The machine will now not recognize the domain anymore. Is there anyway around this?

Does anyone know if their is a version of Cisco Works that will work with IE 7? We have tried several patches and we still have problems with IE7. We are getting pressured to move all of our PC's up to IE7 and this looks like it will cripple Cisco Works.
Thanks for any insight anyone might...
We just recently purchased and implemented CiscoWorks for our network. Since then we replaced some exsting Wireless Bridges with Cisco Aironet 1240AG radios to connect some of our remote offices to our network. Is it possible to add these links to CiscoWorks to monitor them, archive the...
I am trying to get reporting to work on my Watchguard. The diagnostic report just shows a bunch of no records found. Any hints on what I could be doing wrong?

We currently use a WatchGuard X1000 as our firewall, but we also have a Microsoft ISA Server acting as a firewall proxy on the inside of our network. The ISA server does serve as a proxy server, but it's biggest use is to authenticate users using Active Directory. We only allow authenticated...

Everything was working well on Corporate Edition Symantec Anti-virus version 8.0, but we received 8.1 and wanted to stay current and installed it. Installation went well and we have been running for about 2 weeks. The only problem is that our updates no longer seem to be happening. Live...
I have a group that needs special access through our ISA server to another organization. The other organization says that we need to open port 21 and the range 21450-21459. It appears they are trying to use this for a SSL connection. I have tried several different combinations with no luck...
We have to connect to a website to gather some reporting. The website requires our users to use Netscape. They indicate that they use port 21 and range of 21450-21459. They are setting up a HTTPS connection. I had this working on my old firewall, how would I do this with ISA?
Any help is...
We are currenlty looking at implementing ISA Server as an internal firewall (in a back to back configuration). We are not large enough to bother with an array, so we purchased the Standard Edition. We are now being told, that in order to be able to integrate with Active Directory, we must have...

Any ideas would be appreciated. Dan
I would like to produce some reports from Active Directory. I thought that I had been told that it was possible to access Active Directory, through the ODBC drivers. I would like to generate a report to send out to our departments with information about their users.

Any ideas on what may be causing this?
How do we correct these? Our staff is...

We just installed Windows 2000 last weekend and we are using the DNS. We seem to be O.K. for browsing the internet, but evertine our e-mail server is sending a DNS query, it appears that W2K is adding our Domain name to the end of the address. for example, if we are sending to aol, we get a...
