I have two controls on a form that reference the same activeX control. After the Application.Run(myForm), one of the controls works, the other does not. The code in the constructor of the form is exactly the same for both controls. Can you have two instances of an external ActiveX control on...
Hi all,
has anyone seen an xbase liabrary and header for the C programming language in Win32? I've seen plenty for Linux, but haven't seen it come into the Windows world.
I'm creating a utility to "restore" our servers to their natural settings. Can anyone point me to where the Login Script information / User info is kept?

Hello all,
does anyone know where I can get DOS liabraries for lcc-Win32. The command line programs I create work fine in a windows environment, but do not work in pure DOS.
Thanks,

Hello all,
I'm trying to figure out how to install a PCI modem in a 4.11 (sp7) machine. I tried out installing the new version of AIOCOMX.ADI and AIOCOMX.NLM v 2.18. It bombs out when I try to set the port=PCI. Anyone with any insights?
Thanks in advance,

Hi,
I'm attempting to get a perl script to work on Win98. Unfortunately, when I make calls to the system, it bombs out. Are there utilities that will erase files available without calling the command prompt? Any ideas would be much appriciated.

I'm looking for a program to call from DBase that will authenticate CC's. It will need to be DOS based and preferably make a call to a Novell Server to negotiate the transaction. If anyone's seen this sort of thing, please let me know.

I'd like to write a SQL statement that uses 2 DSN's to look up the values. Is this possible outside of Access? If it is how?
Thanks in advance,

Hello all,
Does anyone know who in Microsoft I need to talk to about selling a program developed in VB 6? Any suggestions would be appriciated.

Hello all,
My NW6 server has many terminated connections giving information that it is internally logging out. The user name has been removed and replaced with the server name or "not-logged-in". The clear connection process does not clear it. Any ideas?

Hello all,
If anyone out there runs into problems migrating a dBase V app from Netware 4.11 to Netware 6, I have a tip. If you begin to experience index file corruption on large files routinely, check the setting "CLIENT FILE CACHING ENABLED". It should be set to OFF.

Hello all,
I am trying to share a Win98 workstation's printer on the new Novell 6 network. We are still using Que based printing. When I try to start nprinter from a DOS prompt to set it up, the program returns an error that Windows can't run it in enhanced mode. Anyone have any...
Hello all,
I've been trying to automate the creation of SYS DSN's in some recent software. To do so I've been calling SQLConfigDataSource from ODBCCP32.DLL. Are there any tips or tricks to get it to work with dBase 5 files? I'd rather not train these guys how to set up DSN's. Here is...
Hello all,
I just installed a brand new NW6 server. I am running into a few small issues here and there, but the one annoying one is when a connection terminates abnormally, the files remain locked and clearing out the user does not work. All I was able to find on Novell's site was to...
hello all,
I ran DSREPAIR on my 4.11 server while a new 6.0 server was on the net (different tree and context). Does anyone know how to revive NDS on the server without DS loaded? I cannot gain access to the server through a client. My consultant isn't returning phone calls and everyone is...
