Copy 2.6 database to csv file without the EOF symbol

I have to copy a database to a .csv file (type delimited) which works but adds an EOF symbol (<Return>) in the cell in column A immediately below the data. This is causing problems to the recipient. Is there any way of stopping this?

Windows 7 64-bit and IPview SoftBoard

I can get IPview Softboard working on Windows XP and Server 2003, all of these machines being 32-bit. I have tried the same process on Windows 7 64-bit and IPview does not work. I have read elsewhere that R6 can resolve this issue and I would be grateful for any help locating this. Peter

    running excel 2003 from FPW26

I am trying to run Excel 2003 from within an FPW26 program using 'run /N {batch file that runs Excel}'. It does actually work but, each time that Excel opens, Windows install runs (very slowly) to install Excel Components - it appears to install two Excel features. It does not say what they are...

877W static route for outgoing email

My organisation uses Exchange 2007 as its mail server. Our ADSL service is pretty poor and, each week, virtually dies when invoices are being emailed out in a big batch. This creates grief from the MD when he is trying to work remotely at the same time and cannot connect. We have a second ADSL...

123v5 does not display font colour dialog

I now have Lotus 123 V5 installed on XP SP3. It mostly works fine but, when I choose to change the font colour, the matrix does not show. There is a flashing square box where the current colour would be and, with random clicking where I know that the matrix should be, I can 'find' other colours...

Cisco VPN kills home network connectivity

I have a small home network on an NT4SP6 server. I use Cisco VPN client 4 to connect through to my office network in UK. This side of things works very well as I can access and manage all computers on the office network (normally via VNC viewer). The problem is on the home network. Any computer...

LAN to LAN VPN with PIX501

We have a PIX 501 which works well with Cisco VPN client from a couple of VPN clients. One client accesses the Internet via a Vigor 2600 ADSL router and the other with a Vigor 2800 ADSL router. Neither of the routers is on a fixed IP address. We wish to set up at least one of these clients with...

DDE function from FPW26 fails with Word 2003

I have an old application in FPW26 where the user starts a Word document from a button. The document is filled with data from the FPW record. This has worked fine for many years until the client upgraded their Office software from 97 to 2003. The action now fails with a runtime 509 error...

FPW26 stalls on mouse clicks in Win2000/XP

We have recently upgraded a few machines to Windows 2000 or XP. With Tamedos all of the FP DOS applications seem to run fine. The FPW26 for Windows programs also appear to run OK except for one anomoly. When one double clicks on an entry in a list box, the first such action leads to the next...

VPN client IP range same as server

Wonder if you can help a person with limited network skills. If a client machine with an IP address of e.g. 192.168.1.nn uses VPN via a Cisco PIX to contact server within same network range it can make the secure connection but cannot do much else - cannot even ping an IP address. I have got...

    Cannot find pdfwritr.drv in NT

I have just installed Adobe Acrobat on to an NT 4.0 (service pack 6) server to be able to use the pdf writer for an application (which functions fine under Windows 98 etc.). FPD26 in a window

A client is running a multi-user DOS application in a window on Windows 98 workstations. Some users have a tendancy to close the window using the 'X' on the top right of the window rather than exiting the application correctly (ignoring the warning message that then appears). Is there any way...
