I like to save files in a different name and in a different file. And as JPGs. But each time, it gives me a box with "JPEG Options".
The automatic selections are fine. But I have to click OK each time. It's the sort of thing you'd expect to default.
I'm new to Photoshop, probably missing...
On Windows XP and earlier systems, I could get programs to start whenever I started the machine, by putting them into a 'startup' menu within the start menu.
For Windows 7, this does not exist, or at least I cannot find it. I also cannot find any replacement function: Windows Help on Startup...
I'm moving from AOL, which had alwasy handled my mail. But when I try to get my old copy of Office to take over, it seems only to recognise phone lines and 'Local Area Networks'.
Is that a limit of the software? Something I can't get round without an expensive upgrade...
I'd been synchronising for years, no problem. But my new machine with Windows 7 says there is no software to link.
Is this true? If so, how can I fix it?
If I have to get a more modern iPAQ, how modern?

For years, I have used an old Organiser called an iPad with my version of Outlook 2002. It's convenient to be able to syncronise them. So far so good.
Recently I moved to a new PC running Windows 7. It runs Outlook OK but refused to recognise the Orraniser. It supposedly searched software...
When I place a text box in a Word document, it will sometimes let itself be placed and moved, but not always. I have it formatted as Layout > Tight, but on occasions the box will attach itself to the top of the page and refuses to move. I can see the 'anchor' and try to move but success is...
I don't suppose that will be much of a problem for readers of this forum, but you could put it on your t-shirt.
Another nice slogan would be 2 + 2 = 11
I was inspired by an unsolved problem about a t-shirt slogan mentioned at thread1229-1596405

Whenever I open one of my own Word documents, the software holds me up for a minute or two, showing the following message on the status bar
My machine is already properly scanned for viruses, and anyway these are my own documents. Most of them don't even have macros in them. (I also have...
I've got an Acre Aspire, nice little machine. One trouble, the pointer occasionally turns into a four-armed symbol changes the size of my display. I've not come across anything like it before. Can anyone advise?
I've looked through all the Word options to see if I can switch it off. Also...
Alan Greenspan has claimed that the current crisis was due to a 'once in a century' credit storm. A lot of people would disagree, but this isn't the place to discuss that.
What I'd like to know is that if an event is 'once in a century' in the sense of 1 per 100 chance per year, what are the...

I tried to figure what the rule was, and was not sure. Someone suggested that the that the hierarchy list list is:
Opinion :: size :: age :: shape :: color :: origin :: material :: purpose
Do people agree? And can anyone find a good exception? I've a feeling that to say an ancient cryptic...
I've just got this new machine, which I was planning to use to take notes and transfer them to another machine.
When I plug in a brand-new USB Flash Drive, it tells me I do not have permission to read it. The same device can be read fine on a Windows XP machine and should have no security...
I've just purchased an Asus Eee PC configured for Linux. The main initial use I planned for it was to take notes that I could transfer to my desktop PC, which uses Windown XP.
USB Flash Memory Disk seemed the easiest method, and the guide that came with the machine suggested there should be no...
With a standard pack, if you randomly pick three cards, there would be 132600 possible combinations, counting each card as unique. (52 * 51 * 50). But if the order doesn't matter, there would be rather less. Only 22100, I think, because there are six ways to line up three items.
Now...
While trying to select a block of text to cut-and-paste, I must have somehow put the mouse into an odd mode. Instead of starting from where I clicked, it would start from the top of the document and continue down to wherever I had clicked. This applied to the browser (IE6), to Word and to...
I had a PC running Windows 98 with Office 2003. When I got a new PC with Windows XP, I got just the Works Suit for it and for a time ran both.
I've now stopped using the Windows 98 machine and plan to sell it, or maybe give it away since it is old. But it occured to me that I could move the...
