I have recently been given the task of enhancing a rather large application. At least it looks large to me with 49 .vb source files over half of which are forms.
This is the first time working with vb.net although I have worked with VBA, C# and Delphi. I'm sure to have many questions, but...

Describe an algorithm (and/or write the code) to generate the "next" permutation for a given permutation.
Define the "next" permutation as the smallest number larger than the current number where a number is composed of the elements of the array...

I was taught that "I feel badly" is incorrect and one should always use "I feel bad" (unless one feels good, of course).
The adverb form refers to the quality of sensory perception, while the adjective describes inner thoughts or emotions.
Is this still correct?

I'm running Excel 97 from a network drive. When I run it from my main PC, if I click Tools/Options... nothing happens. That is to say, the menu goes away and I'm left looking at the workbook as if I had clicked cancel. This just started happening last week. When I run the same executable...
Application compiled by programmer "A" uses simple menus (TMainMenu and TMenuItem). When the .exe is run on his machine or mine, the underscores do not appear in the menu bar until the Alt key is pressed. (e.g. &File shows simply as File, not File until pressing the Alt key.)
