Using Version 7 Crystal Reports and modifying the SQL in the report.
Table A with fields 1(key), 2, 3. Table A joins to Table B and to Table C. A.2 joins with B for a description decode and A.3 joins with Table C for a decode. There can be multiple decodes in history and obviously I want to...
Hi there. Does anyone know if the feature available in Version 10 to display the crosstab horizontally was possible in Version 7 (other than manual crosstab)?
Hi there. I have a main report with an unlinked subreport. I have a string prompt on the main simply to get the prompted description to pass to the subreport. The user can add multiple values to this prompt. My problem is that it doesn't seem to be passing all parameters entered to the...
does anyone know if Seagate Info Desktop can only be used with Crystal Reports up to a certain version? We're looking to use Info Desktop with Crystal 10.
anyone have any info on this? I know
1 is for success
3 is for failed
but that's it. It would be much appreciated if you can point me in a better direction. Thanks.
what's the general feeling out there with the topN feature -it would seem to me that it does the trick only on the simplest report. If I need a conditional total on a report that doesn't really work in a straight group sum, it's going to be hard to use Top N. Is topN more trouble than it's...
Hi there. I have a record selection on my report where type is one of a, b, c, d, ... Is there a limit to the number of variables does anyone know that you can put in the record selection?
I'm rusty on my Access. Here's how I set up the parameter on my Admin code field in my table:
Like Nz([Please enter exact name of Admin Code ex LMH],'*')
I didn't create a separate parameter, I create the parameter dynamically as part of the criteria.
So now my question is - how do I pass...
it's been a while since I used Access. I created a report that just had all the table fields on it. It reports on the entire table. Now I want to add prompts. I seem to recall that you can't add the prompts to the report but rather you add them in the query and then tie the report to the...
When I try to create a report using report design, new, nothing happens. When I try to use the Wizard it allows me to go through the options, when I hit finish I get the message "wizard is uanble to create your report".
Any ideas? Our systems administrator recreated my template....

I have a Crystal Report formatted so my column headings are all in the page header and my data fields are lined up underneath in my group footer. No matter what I do, when I export to Excel 97-2000, my page header text objects end up getting truncated.
I believe I have the latest version of...
I am using Crystal 10. I have a crosstab to display my records horizontally. Reason being, I could have 2 types per record or I could have any number of type columns.
It displays the data so far down and then repeats the column headings. I have wrestled with this for WEEKS and can't figure...
I have 2 forms - one to add a new item and one to approve an existing item (basically to query and then to update). I'm having a terrible time trying to get the update to work. Here is the message I get:
"Cannot bind to property of column (name) on datasource".
Any thoughts?
I want to do a report that shows all the tables names containing the Client Number field. I don't have access to do a DB query. Any way to do this in Crystal?
I have a report with NUMEROUS columns going across. When I export to excel, it does a virtual page break and puts column headings around to appear underneath a section of my data - sort of like a page header wrap. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?
