TCP/IP doesn't initialize properly on boot
This is a weird one. I have a Windows XP installation with an HP 100Mbit ethernet adapter. When windows boots up, it does not assign the ip address that I have manually configured to the card. Instead, it assigned 0.0.0.0 If I view the status of the card, it says the IP address is...- Swany

XP takes forever to "load personal settings"
I am running XP pro, as an upgrade from Win2K pro. When XP starts, it sits for 2 to 3 minutes at the "loading personal settings" screen before loading explorer. I can hibernate/restore in about 25-30 seconds, so this is how I usually shut down my PC now, because the anoyance of...- Swany
