    I have a Sony 48-24-48 cd-rw drive. When I format a cd-rw disk and try to use it like a floppy I get a message that says "PACKET WRITTEN DISKS ARE NOT SUPPORTED"I am using Memorex cd-rw disks 700MB,80 Min, 12X.This is new and I have no idea what is wrong.Compusa was no help.Thank you...

    netmeeting and xp

    will netmeeting work between computers using windows 98 and windows xp.On the upgrade box for xp it states that to use video conferencing both computers must have Netmeeting and XP.I want to upgrade to XP, but not a the cost being able to use Netmeeting with my Win. 98 friends.

    I unchecked the scan of OUTBOUND FILES in virus scan 6.02.3000 with engine 4160 on win. 98 se and have my speed back and also unchecked ALOGSERV in msconfig (startup tab) smitty98

    I have Mcafee 6..02, engine 4.1.60, Dat.Files 4217. I have had many problems with bad update,patches,and the tech help sucks.My computer runs slooow when virus scan is enabled.I have think I will give up and go to Nortons,I have it on my laptop and it works great.
