Problem with "RUN" and "DOS" comman

The /c and the rest of the command is generated by dbase in response to the run and dir commands. It is not something that we can leave out since all that our programs are doing is issuinf dos commands preceeded by the run command. that worked fine up until dbase 5.5. If you go to the top of...

dBase 5 for dos - Wrong dates for file last modified

When I say added to I mean records are added and the date modified does not change consistently as described above. Interestingly, these databases have assoociated index (.mdx)files. I have seen the .mdx file date modified get updated on occasion without the .dbf file date modified changing.

dBase 5 for dos - Wrong dates for file last modified

The file is not just looked at. It is added to or records changed and yet the date is not updated. I have confimed this by opening and seeing new or changed records and yet the date last modified has not changed. As previously noted, exclusive use of a file for packs reindexes etc works fine...

dBase 5 for dos - Wrong dates for file last modified

I am running dbase 5 for dos on windows NT v 4.1. The file date last modified usually does not get updated if clients are using dbase files located on a remote server. I say usually because every now and then or if an exclusive operation like pack is used by a client, the date and time stamps...
