"MOV" Command

I have some co-workers that are telling me that they were told in a GlobalKnowlege class to NEVER use the "MOV" command to move a phone from one TN to another. I asked why and they said because the database will become corrupt. Has anyone here had any problems with the "MOV" command. It sure...

Short annoying ringing on DID calls

I am installing a new Opt 11 with Succession 3.0 and just got the PRI DID's working. When I call into the PBX on one of the DID's the ringing is set to some kind of Europe type of ring. It is a real short ring with a short pause and just keeps repeating. Does anyone know how to change this?

    LDID question

Here is how to set it up: In this case, the PBX is in a 10-digit dialing area. The range for DIDs are (123)456-5500 through (123)456-5599. Any time someone dials a DID number via 9-123-456-55XX, DMI 1 will strip off 123-456 and send the call directly to the extension. >LD 90 NPA 123 RLI 0...

    I submitted my first FAQ

I just submitted my first FAQ for connecting a 56K US Robotics modem to a TTY port at 2400bps. I found, through the years, that this is the best speed to connect to a PBX with a modem. Any faster and you can't really see the output without backscrooling. I once set up a modem at 9600bps and...
