can someone tell me in detail what an assignment of inventions agreement is really for? do programs that you create after you leave the company fall under your former employers control?

1) For a company to make money off the thought processes of the employees. Especially if the employee was getting paid for the thinking.
2) Maybe , if you were paid to develop the same or related thing for the company. Otherwise , probably not.
