I have setup 2K Server and we have 2K Pro workstations. I've setup a domain controll, DNS and DHCP, and WINS account. But when I logon to to a workstation as 'rover' domain admin account and try to add a domain user to the local administrator group, it says it can't find/locate the domain specified?

Any ideas on what I need to look at or what I'm missing?

Thanks. Jason Wilder

I know this doesn't seem to answer the particular error you cite, but, believe it or not, I had the exact same error for a while and this was the solution -- make sure that the "rover" domain admin account is itself a local administrator on the PC (you shouldn't have to, providing the PC is properly joined to the domain, but sometimes you do).

Also, you might try making the change remotely. (Right-click on my computer, select Manage, choose "Connect to another computer..." and then manage the workstation's user rights groups over the network. I've had more success with that sometimes than doing it locally.
