Changing the location of a databases data files 1

I need to change the location of the data files for a database. We are running out of disk space on the c: drive of the SQL Server. My questions are:

1. How is this done?
2. Are there any caveats to this as I have several SSIS packages that are pointing to this particular database?

Forgot to mention that I am running SQL Server 2005.

Basically you have several options, either back up and restore to new location, or more easily detach and reattach the db to the new location.
