I have read numerous post concerning nortel and cisco working together and am sure I understand what I need to do on the Nortel end. I am dealing with an outside vendor who is installing the ccm and am not getting answers about what needs to happen on his side to make QSIG a reality. We've been told that we'll just have to buy Unity from him if we need voice mail.
Can anyone help me understand what is necessary from the Cisco programming to make ISGF,COLP amd QMWI work on the d-channel? Why would this guy insist on d100 interface type?

Thanks

that's a link between my 81c and the ccm.. sounds like you need a new cisco vendor.. you don't have to put up with that attitude.. i would rather have nortel voip with my 81 then ccm, but my customer bought cisco and now it works perfect.. msg lamps, names etc..

nothing special about the cp side. .just add the cisco dn with the same cos as any other user.. the only problem i've seen here is with secondary systems that are not networked to the dn level.. my cisco wireless is ext 4999, my 3904 is 3999.. i dial 4 digits to and from either device.. 4999 is a dsc in ld 87.. i am sending all the 49's to the qsig..

once the qsig was up, and the new rlb sent numbers to the ccm, i added a mailbox and it worked..

btw, i've had cisco techs call from several sites so i could help the nortel tech clean up there qsig.. if techs don't help each other, management wins

Q sig is working fine on our system REL25.4 . One of the main things you need to config. or change the SIGO setting in the LD 17 to STD otherwise the nortel will send to CCM the NCOS value as well as the extension number and the call will be rejected as CCM think the digit string is the CLI

didn't have that problem, with rls 3 qsig// could be the default was changed

Does anyone know what the change on the Cisco side will be if we change our IFC to ISGF. Currently we are set for dms100. Curious as to what the Cisco options are???

None. just configure Cisco gateway as isdn switch-type qsig. Make sure that the Cisco engineer has configured the inbound Calling Search Space so you hit the IPT phones
