Hello All,

I am trying to format a cell to be a certain color and have a double line border at the top of the cell if the value of another cell is ='Total'. I have tried conditional formatting but there are only single line borders..

thanks so much in advance.

Hi,

Turn on your macro recorder and record doing what you want.

Then post your question and your recorded code in Forum707, for macro help.

Actually here a way to do what you want using the DOUBLE LINE.

1. Format the range WITH then double line above.

2. Open Format > Conditional Format and make the format for cells that do NOT meet your criteria have NO BORDER on top.
