Creating new DashBoard SPS SP1

We cannot create a new personal dashboard on the evaluation version of Sharepoint we are currently using.
Process of attempting to create is as follows:
Click on the management tab
Click on create a new personal dashboard
All scenarios of settings have been selected on the dashboard settings page - including in advanced settings
Click on save
The error below appears and no dashboard is created.

Save Dashboard
An error occurred while saving the dashboard.
Access Denied

What was the solution? I'm having the same problem.

We had to reset all the permissions at the top level, propogate them down, then trawl through all folders and exisiting stuff and do all the unique permiisions again. Pain in the A@!e but that was what I got from Microsoft direct. Mmmmmmmmmm!!!
