When I place my curser under a hot link and wait a second it gives me a short message as to what it is. Lately, it is giving it in Spanish as well as English. I have not changed any settings and do not have any Spanish stuff loaded that might cause this. Is this something I can control? Can I make it use another language if I wanted it to?
Thanks in advance.

Is that while using Internet Explorer or some word processor?

David.

The only application that is open, besides IE6 is Eudora, my email program.
I am using Excite as my homepage and this is where I first noticed it.
I can set my curser on any of the hot spots on this (Tek-Tips) page and it does it as well. When I set it on "job Search" I get "busqueda; registrar"

The only thing I can think of is to check:
Control Panel>Regional Options, and make sure the language setting is correct.

David.

I saw a lot of stuff checked that isn't English, some could be unchecked and some were greyed out and could not be changed.
I un-checked all that were not specifically English.

And did you restart the workstation? I think that level of change needs a restart.

That's about all I can think of, sorry it didn't help.

Regards,
David

Thanks for your help
It is still doing it. Fortunately it is not that objectionable. I just wanted to know how to stop it or even change it to Norwegian if I could. Maybe our IT guys at work have time to look at it.

I found it!!!
It is the Google Toolbar. There is a translater option that was set to Spanish. Unfortunately I can't change it to Norwegian, but I can turn it off.
Thanks for the help, now we know.
