I have customer who is using DBASE III Version 5.7, the customer has a billing system built on this version. Can you tell me if there are issues with the year 2001? The customer claims that it failed in 2001 and not 2000?
I am not familiar with this product nor am I a programmer but I would like to direct him appropriately.

HELP!

You may want to read the following thread:

thread290-44654

I may give you some insight as to what the heck is goinging on. If you do know of a local programmer, It shouldn't be too hard for him/her to create a prog that can read the bytes and correct them as needed.

If the above thread does not help then your problem may lie in the BIOS...upgrade is likely.

Yankee,

Thread 290-44654 should be able to help you. I've written a sub-routine to be used in programs that calculate dates to over ride the Y2K problem. I find it hard to believe your client has not experienced any problems with 2000. If I can be of any help, let me know.
