Disable Autoattendant on *plus DHS

I have a StarPlus DHS system hooked up to a Prophet voice mail auto attendant. Our voice mail auto attendant has gone unstable and needs work. I need to reprograme the starplus DHS to direct calls to a station and not the auto attendant untill I get it fixed. The phone user's guide does not address this. Can somebody help????????

The phone user's guide doesn't address programming ringing as this is in the system database and requires "technicain level" programming skills. Do you have the Installer's manual for the DHS system or do you know how to get into the system database programming?

Yes, I have a copy of the DHN programing manual. It is not obvious which option I should be looking at to make this change. If you have the topic I should be looking for in the table of contents I should be able to figure it out from there.

When you set up the DHS for voicemail you first set up your single line ports for vmail. Enter programming and go to station programming. Enter the station number that is connected to the Analog adapter and press show. Press next until you find VM Port and change it from Y to N. Do this for all 4 ports associated with your voicemail. Next go to System Applications, Station Hunt Groups and find the voicemail group, go to ringing and make the ringing NONE on all lines. This should remove the lines from vmail and ringing. You will now go back to station programming and enter the extensions that you want to ring and set them to BOTH on all lines that are in the system. That should do it!

Thanks for your guidance. After reading your outline it now makes some sence to me. But while I was out of town last week, and before I had a chance to try this we had a power failure that caused the DHS system to lose all it's programing. We have decided to go ahead and replace our 8 year old voice mail system and then reprogram the DHS to the new voice mail. We were lucky that when the DHS lost it's mind it now sends calls directly to station 0, our admin, so we are in manual mode until the new voice mail comes in. Thanks again for your help.

The system defaulting would cause the voicemail programming to go away. I want to bring up one thing concerning the DHS and the losing of programming. The system has a battery on the CPU ckt board that only lasts around 5 to 6 years. I'm finding that anytime a system loses power, the system defaults and this has been a real problem. I have found replacement batteries for about $15.00 but they have to be soldered on the CPU ckt board. Lastly, the replacement voicemail. What are you going with, what make and model. I've used only one product on the DHS with success and that's a product sold by Vodavi called the Dispatch. You can get it in 2, 4, 6, & 8 ports and has a Hard drive. Let me know how I can help!

We have ordered a Key Voice system. The individual that sold it to us said he has installed these on the DHS with success. Where are you located and who do you represent? If this is your line of work I would like to get your contact info for future reference.

Key Voice has excellent support and you can actually get a tech fact that shows exactly how to set up your DHS for compatiblity.
