The place I'm working installed IBM's ClientAccess package on my laptop to let me view an AS400 database. Unfortunately, when I go into an existing (totally separate) VB6 project the data designer can't access the database it uses (Microsoft Access 2000) giving me the error message "Provider no longer available". Now I've tried to uninstal ClientAccess and it seems to have removed the data environment designer. When I try to open it I get "Object library not recognised" message!

Anyone seen anything like this and managed to resolve it?

It's amazing how many ways there are to skin a cat
(apologies to the veggies)

reinstall access
reinstall Client Access
Reinstall VB6
Reinstall VB SP (latest available)
(Re)install MDAC 2.8

And before removing adding any program you should look at the VB source files and load log to see exactly which object is missing, as it may be a totally diferent one than what you think.
