I've already been assisted with most of my automation project, but ...

When I "Save As" to create a tab-delimited text file to be imported into G/L, the end of the file is often after the last actual data. That causes a problem with the G/L program when imported, so now I have to manually delete the excess, visually blank data.

Is there a way to automatically get rid of it?

I am positioning at the last active cell - and, as I said, it's often blank. Right now it's easier to edit the resulting text file than to tinker in Excel.

As always, thanks in advance for your assistance.

If my description is not clear, please post.

Hi,

As long as there is no formatting or residual data, (residual data can include formatting and cleared contents instead of rows/columns deleted with a shift of some kind) only the rows of data is exported.

Select ALL unused rows and DELETE Shift Up
