Hi all,

I have an ISA server on an AD domain that is trusting our AD domain but does not trust ISA server's ISA domain (One way trust). Authentication is via our AD domain accounts. While web browsing is OK, Firewall client is the problem.

Tests that i have done:

1) Non domain member workstation. ISA local account - firewall client OK

2) Domain member workstation but logged in locally. ISA Local account - Firewall client OK

3) Domain member workstation logged on to domain account. - Firewall client not connecting.

I say not connecting on item 3 because the firewall client status displays "Configured to use IP of ISA". But when I tried using an application that will use firewall client it stays in that status. When i check the Firewall client logs, it does not have any logs (if i do item #3).

I'm really lost now, can anyone give a hint.

check if the error in isa client when Firewall client not connecting. is cannont auth to isa server, if it is this

check dns settings a user in AD

I am unable to check it bec. there's no log generated since the firewall client was not connecting to ISA server

I also noticed that when i ping our ISA server it resolves, isa.ourdomain and not isa.isa's_domain. Does this have any bearing?
