first it says access denied, then i chmod it and it says not found..??

also when i use ws_ftp, the directory at the top says "/public_html/cgi-bin" and then that where the file is stored expect when i click on this link...it says not there

First, public_html is the deafault directory, it's the directory that is accessed when you type in you home domain. You had the first url right.

There is something wrong with you script and you should post it,

or your administrators don't have cgi enabled on your server.
