I have created a number of programs in dBasewin 5.0 that require the use of a fixed width font for the streaming prinout of tables. I selected the letter gothic font and placed it in the dbasewin.ini file as a "Syle" number and it has fullfilled my every wish. I went to Visual dBase 7 and performed some tricks to get my dBasewin 5.0 programs to run, but have been foiled by the font selection (Oh! - I should mention that my machine operating system is Windows NT). I have used the "GETFONT()" command for generating the text for the letter gothic font style, have placed it in the VDB.ini file as a "Style" number under the [FONTS] section, but the printout always defaults to fixed width Courier. I've tried other fixed width fonts but ditto. Dbase provides very little documentation for font managment. Is Courier the chosen fixed width font for VD 7?? If so, is there some way to get around this??

I don't have DB7, but a sort of similar situation occured at work. It turned out that he didn't have the TT font on his system so the program defaulted to something else.

Suggest that you take a look at your FONTS folder in your WINNT directory (if you have one) and make sure that "gothic" is infact there to be used.
