My question is really on the SNA server side. If I change my link to replace my old escon with an ethernet adapter, is there any white papers or tools that allow me to keep all the PU definitions, LU definitions and POOL (in fact everything except the Link) can we switch all those definition to the new connection ????

Thanks !

As you already know, you can't just change the link service that you are pointing to as the connection type is matched to a link service type.

The only supportable way to accomplish this is to use the command line utility SNACFG. You would first of all use "snacfg /print" and redirect the output to a file. Then modify the connection to match the new link service that you have defined.

Once you have the new definition, you create a new configuration file, and then test it. :)

If you need further guidance, please let me know, but it is reasonably straight forward.
