Hi,

Tool(s): Microsoft OLAP Server (SP2), Knosys Proclarity, HOLAP structure for cube

I have a scenario, where I have 2 time columns in my fact table and they both contain different values for each fact row. For example, OriginDate and DropOutDate.

The client would like to view the cube and be able to select the dimensions separately (obviously!)

Presently, I have two (identical) physical tables for Time(hierarchy:yr, quarter, month, day). The foreign keys have been created from the 2 columns to their respective tables and it works fine.

Earlier, when I had a single table and created foreign keys in the fact table(for both time columns) linking to the same primary-key column(surrogate) of the Time table, the processed cube showed values only for one of the time dimensions.

Is it possible (at all?) to have a single time dimension table OR do we "HAVE TO" create multiple tables for each time dimension???

Thanks in advance!
bb
