Is there a way to Hide the extension from showing when you call an internal extension. I have people that are calling agents directly to avoid the VRU. I would like to hide their agent ID or extension on the display.

What type of switch do you have?

You can restrict people from calling agent directly by change the COR. There is a field in that for that you can sya Direct Agent calling Y or N.

and/or

Masking the station number on internal calls can be controlled by CLASS OF SERVICE. Establish a new COS to turn on CLIENT ROOM and change the SYSTEM PARAMETERS-HOSPITALITY and set DISPLAY ROOM INFORMATION IN CALL DISPLAY to YES. When the new COS is assigned the calling party station number that usually appears in the bottom of the display is replaced by the station room information page 3 of the station form. The station "SITE DATA: Room" field should be cleared or put the main number the people should be calling.

NOTE: If the station NAME field is blank outbound calls will replace the blank with the station number. Insert something, usually a period, to keep this from happening.

I tried this and it did not work.
I have 42 PBXs on my network and they are on a different PBX than me. Does this make a difference?

No it should not. You would have to make the changes to the PBX in question. I worked for me and I have the exact same PBX and Version.

I just did this on my switch; changed COS 0 to turn on CLIENT ROOM and made the recommended change in SYSTEM PARAMETERS-HOSPITALITY. The change was immediate, the agents did not have to logoff and back on for the change to take effect. But this only stopped the agent ID from showing; I still get the extension for individuals who haven't logged in with an agent ID.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

Susan,
This only works for agents because they're using COS 0, and that's the one you changed. If you changed the COS of the actual extensions, it would probably work for them too.

What do you mean "To bad you cant do this with xmobile stations"?
