How can I program the system so that multiple users (with their own phones) can pick up the same line and all are able to hear and talk on the same line permanantly?
You would probably be better off conferencing another person in on a call than to do the following as you may get people accidentely interrupting all the time, but here goes.
You have to go into config programming Feature **config password config. It will come up Terminals and Sets. Hit next until you get to Trk/Line Data. Hit show once (maybe twice) until Show Line appears. Enter your line number 001, and you`ll have to show either trunk or line data (I can`t remember) in order to find Auto Privacy. Change that to no and repeat for other lines.
You`ll have to call the company that looks after your system. They`ve changed your installer password. If you don`t have or don`t know what company that is, I have no idea who you can contact to get it reset. Maybe someone else does.
One other thing, are you at least getting PSWD when you enter Feature **config. If your not, I forgot to mention that you may have to be doing this programming from a 10 or 24 button phone (or certain T series phones), depending on your software.
You can override privacy on a "per-call" basis by pressing Feature 83 after the initial call is made. Then, anyone on the system will be allowed to pick up and talk on the line with you.
if you want to and security is not and issue you can setup your system square and program the lines as public. You can always leave a line for your self ( private line ) Jeter@LasVegas.com
