HowTo update report previously published to the CE

How do you update the reports that were previously published to the CE? I have since changed the functionality of some of my reports. If I use the CMC, I can select a report Object. On the Object's properties page there is a "Refresh" button. Its tooltip says, "Get the latest version of the report file". If I press the "refresh" button then the "Update" button, the modified date is set to the current date. However, the report is still the version I initially published, not the latest version. How do I get the latest report version into the CE without deleting and then re-publishing?

okay depending on how you have nodified your report this may work.

It sounds like you did not open the report from the report designer by opening it from a CE folder modifying and saving it in the designer..so

Here is a back door if you have modified the report and want to change the existing object.

In the CMC look at the report properties it will tell you where the report file is located on the input FRS

1) back up by renaming the report file in the directory mentioned above on the FRS.
2) save your updated report as the same name as the original report file.
3) go into the CMC and click refresh.
Note this is risky but I would suggest your try this on a test first
