Hi guys!
My IIS 5 server has been acting up lately. I get this error message whenever i try to view an ASP page:
Server Application Error
The server has encountered an error while loading an application during the processing of your request. Please refer to the event log for more detail information. Please contact the server administrator for assistance.
When i try to view the event log, i made microsoft help explain it to me. Below is what it says:
Explanation
The user ID or password might be incorrect.
User Action
Check that the user ID and password are correct.
My question is, how do i go about doing that?
In the IIS snap-in, I have checked the box (in the Directory Security --> Anonymous User) that says "Allow IIS to control the password" and the user stated is ComputerName\IWAM_ComputerName. Is there any way to reset this value to its default value? I dont want to set this one myself, I want IIS to set it for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
respectfully yours,
biggie
