After installing an ADSL connection I can't send mail.
I can however browse the internet. Do ping, do lynx etc.

I've the following configuration:
ADSL modem with an fixed external ip number
internal ip 10.0.0.138
linux redhat server ip 10.0.0.150
postfix

When I sent an email using Pine all looks okay but no mail is sent.

I don't know what steps to follow to solve this problem.

Before I installed ADSL, I had an cable connection, this worked okay.

Suggestions are appreciated, solutions are more than welcome.

what is your maillog saying? If it is delivering it, it has to go somewhere. Is it still sitting in the queue? if so it will tell you why it is still there. Are you trying to send directly to clients? I would suggest to use you ISP's mail server to relay if possible. A lot of server might reject you mail without an error because you are on a dialup.

The problem was a Server flag in the ADSL modem, switching this off, resulted in sending the mail correctly.

Thank for thinking with me.
