Hi Guys,

Backup Server is running Windows 200 Server and BE 10.0d. I recently replace the hard drive on my local station and re-installed remote agent. The backup job was failed and given me the following message:

"Unable to attach to \\My Local Station\<Utility Partition>. V-79-57344-33932 - Unable to attach to a resource. Make sure that all selected resources exit and are online, and then try again."

Then, I went to the "Selection" of this backup job and found that there is no "Utility Partition" selection under my local station compare to other local stations or servers.
Did I missed something when I re-installed OS on my local station or when I re-installed the backup remote agent? How can I recover this utility partition? Any feedback will be thankful.

When you replaced the hardrive you did not use the Dell or HP server disk to re-create the utility partition before you installed the OS. Not a big deal. Go into that selecton list and there in the upper right/middle there is a toggelt to switch the selection list from graphical to text view. Switch to text view and remove \\mylocationstation\utility partition and save the list.

I always take those utility partitions out. You have to reboot the server to access them anyway, so why not just boot to the Utility CD? They contain the same programs, plus it saves 1 partition on your disk.

I removed \\My Local Station\<Utility Partition> from the text view, so let's just hope that tonight the backup will be successful.
