Movie compression, And Loading

Ok, my first question is, is there a good way to make a flash movie smaller, without compromising too much quality, i have this movie here. And it is very big and takes forever to load, which brings about my second question. How can i make a loading screen appear, until the whole document is downloaded?

Ok i got the loading screen to work, with this:
if(_framesloaded>=totalframes){
nextFrame();
}else{
gotoAndPlay(1);
}

I just need It to be slightly smaller, i tried reducing the jpeg quality when i exported it, and reduced the the sound quality significantly, but it only took it down from 17.66mb, to 17.4mb

Actually, the loading screen doesn't even seem to be working, Any ideas?
