Hi, my name Is Luis Aliaga and work in AT&T Perú.
My question are the following:
1.- How do i to make a network filterin sniffer pro LAN 3.5, ie. capture total traffic from/to specific network ? no a single station filter.

2.- Is possible draw graph (history samples)of HTTP traffic or any specific traffic with sniffer pro LAN 3.5 ?

Thanks in advance

To filter on a particular network you will need to do a pattern match. I have found it best to set the format to binary and set the len field to the network portion of an IP address. You will have to do this for every network you want to filter on. Also, when you create a new profile for this filter instead of saying use default profile, try one of the sample profiles provided. They have some detailed pattern match filters for cases just like this.
On your second question: You can not do a history sample grapgh of HTTP traffic, but there is a product called reporter that will give you the ability to graph any rmon like statistic collected in SnifferPro. Visit for more details.
Good Luck,

Regarding graphing: Yes, you can graph the data if you are willing to save the key data as a print file and then import this data into EXCEL. For more information go to and search on EXCEL. There are a couple of examples for you.

I hope this helps,

Hello for everybody....
My name Is Nasir Yilmaz from Turkey

Always I have on network my network is ATM rarely halts I have to reset it if anybody knows about that please help me.
How I can measure the traffic on network and which computer does big traffic.

Nasir- I'm sure your equipment has SNMP management for the ATM port and you can use that to get statistics to act as a early warning for possible ATM hickups. ATM sniffers are very expensive so I doubt that is in the picture.
