Outlook 2003 and Word Attachments

Hi,

I've got a user here that when he opens a word document normally, it opens fine.

But if he double clicks a word attachment in Outlook 2003, it opens the attachment in Markup mode.

It does this for ALL attachments, I thought at first maybe someone sent him an attachment in Markup mode, but it's been every attachment I've opened in his mail, for the past year.

Anyone have any suggestions?
