It's got to be "Programming Perl", sometimes known as the Camel book, from O'Reilly. Barnes and Noble or Amazon will have it. Excellent book.
Well, I'm not sure of any really good resources myself; but you might try searching for it on my search engines page: there is no charge for using this page; please feel free at any time :)
If I do happen across any good Perl learning resources myself, I'll be sure to relay them to you immediately.
As Mike told you, the Camel book (2nd Ed.), aka "Programming Perl" is really good!
It's the only Perl book I have, and I'm doing ok (so far) with understanding it.
I'm told that "Learning Perl" is especially good for beginners, but I'm a beginner, and doing ok on the Camel book (+ internet resources like this).
Cheers,
