Problems with copying /pasting

I have had to reinstall SmartSuite 97 after a virus attack. Everything is working OK, except that copying and pasting are not working. If I highlight text and try to copy I gat an error message saying "unable to complete copy".

What I can't understand is that copying in normal Windows programmes e.g. notepad is working normally.

Has anyone ever run into this problem before ??
