Is there a way to output my final video to a VHS. I have an AIW card, and I'm wondering how's the easiest way to do this...

Any hint is greatly appreciated....

Make sure to plug the output of your AIW to the input of your vcr, before boot up. Might power on the vcr as well. If the output of your vcr is hocked to a tv set or monitor, you'll be able to check if your signal is going through.

After boot up, make sure your resolution is no higher than 800*600 and check the television box in Control Panel-> Display-> Settings-> Advanced-> Displays. When you do this the picture on your computer monitor should crop down... that's normal. But you should see a well framed picture on your tv. Could need some adjustemt with size and positioning. If so hit the Adjustment tab, play with position and size. You have test patterns if you hit the tv icon, several of them... Click till you get the grid.

If all is fine, start off Premiere or any other fullscreen player for that matter, hit record on the vcr and play your movie.

It might look a bit complicated but once you've done it, you'll remember most of this. Just uncheck the television box when you're finished dumping the movie.

I'm often aroud here... If you have any other questions!

Thanks!
That was already relly helpful.
One more question...
In what resolution and settings should I be making the video on Premier. I have to edit a video which I inputed from a camera. And also, does the size of the file matter on my recordings ???

I think file size is not an issue... If your machine, should I say your whole setup, is able to play it, depending on picture size, frame rate and compression used. That is for you to find out. Once again, test several, and stick with the one you prefer & that works.

Good luck!
