I am trying to repair or reinstall Win 2K Pro on a newly installed Hard Drive. I ghosted the drive and it worked, but then I deleted some files because Windows reassigned drives incorrectly!
Now when I boot from the Windows CD (I made a boot CD with SP 4 integrated into it) I get the message Setup has determined drive C is corrupted and can not be repaired. It is a 320 gig drive, new from WD.
However it is not corrupt as I can read everything in it with Symantec Boot CD and have checked it the the Symantec Drive Utilities, as well as the WD datalife guard.
I think the Windows Setup disk can not read the large drive?
Also, when I do allow the machine to boot on the drive, it goes all the way to the desktop, then I get the error that the paging file is missing or corrupt and it loops here. But it is obviously reading the drive for it to boot to this point.
Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.
